Marc Kaplan

Chief Operating Officer

Marc is tasked with the oversight of the property management division of the company.  His duties include securing strong stability controls, efficiency and compliance of all of the company’s operations, including Finance, Accounting, Leasing, Marketing, Purchasing, Compliance, Legal, etc. with an emphasis on property level NOI.

An industry veteran, Marc Kaplan brings over twenty years of operations and management experience to C&C. Prior to joining the organization, Marc held the position of Executive Managing Director of the Multifamily Division of FirstService Residential, the largest property management firm in North America. In his role, he was responsible for the direct oversite of the national operations team, institutional and portfolio new business development, rental marketing and leasing and lease administration.

Marc was instrumental in the rapid expansion of FirstService Residential’s national presence–growing the portfolio from 5,000 to 15,000 units. Through his guidance, the organization rolled out multiple technological enhancements including a portfolio-wide e-signature platform.  Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Marc held the position of Vice President of Stonehenge Management where he was responsible for the management and building staff of a 27 building portfolio and leasing department.

A native New Yorker, Marc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The American University and a Certificate in Property Management from New York University.

Nikki Wernick

Senior Vice President of Residential Leasing and Compliance

Nikki was brought on board to oversee the leasing and marketing for C+C Apartment Management including New developments, Acquisitions, Existing Developments and lotteries. In addition to C+C’s own properties, her team is responsible for the lotteries and management for several 3rd party developers. Nikki’s considerable knowledge, expertise, and style has enabled her to assume broader responsibilities since her arrival at C+C. While Nikki continues to supervise the Marketing and Leasing department, she now oversees multiple departments critical to C+C’s operations in the business including Yardi, Compliance, and the Transition/Start up departments. As a native New Yorker, Nikki is well versed in NYC real estate. Nikki began her career as a real estate agent specializing in rentals in Manhattan. She quickly made her mark with her unique blend of NYC savvy and knack for developing relationships with landlords. After moving on to one of Manhattan’s largest brokerages she furthered her reputation as a rental agent and expanded into sales. She was then quickly entrusted with the management of two of their premier offices. Prior to joining C+C, Nikki was the Director of Leasing and Marketing at Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant Town, the largest rental property in the US, where she spent nine years. She exponentially increased revenue while bringing vacancy to a record low of less than 3% during her tenure. Nikki has appeared on Open House NYC on NBC, has been featured in AM New York as Residential Broker of the Week and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Chris Moore

Vice President, Financial Reporting

Chris directs and manages the day-to-day operations of the C + C accounting department, with a focus on the financial reporting and analysis. Prior to Chris joining the C + C team, Chris spent five years at FirstService Residential managing their accounting department as the team grew from 3,000 to 13,000 units under management during that time. While at C&C, Chris also uses his experience in Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Excel to build Excel based solutions which increase efficiencies and provides deeper insight into our asset’s financial performance.  Chris has been instrumental in developing new policy and procedure manuals which have led to more clearly defined accounting roles and the streamlining of daily processes. Furthermore, Chris has led the effort to incorporate new technology into C&C’s accounting practices, including AvidXchange and SAP Concur, which has provided more transparency into our corporate and portfolio spending. Chris holds a B.S. in accounting and finance from Fordham University.
